Vanuatu has a new citizenship by investment scheme launched under Development Support Program (DSP) established under Citizenship Act [CAP 112]. The Honorary Citizenship Development Support Program is launched by the Government of Republic of Vanuatu in March 2017.
Vanuatu is located in the South Pacific, located to the East of Australia and North of New Zealand, has a sub-tropical climate with easy lifestyle and a part of Commonwealth. Vanuatu is known as the ‘Isles of Contrast’ and ‘Paradise Islands’. Vanuatu is also popular for offshore companies .
The Vanuatu Development Support Program offers citizenship to foreign investors against one time contribution of USD 130,000 and will replace the existing Vanuatu Economic Rehabilitation Program (VERP). Citizenship is only approved by Citizenship commission in Vanuatu after vetting of applicants for criminal record including due diligence checks.

The Vanuatu Development Support Program (DSP)
According to the DSP Regulation order No. 45 and 46 under Citizenship Act by the Prime Minister of Vanuatu, the official prices for Vanuatu Honorary Citizenship have been reduced, as officially announced by Government. Previously the price for single person applying for citizenship was $220,000.

Requirements
Applicants must be able to provide proof of the source of funds for a Due Diligence verification of no less than $250,000
An applicant, or anyone included in an application, must not have any criminal record, and must be a high standing member of their country and community.
The main applicant must be at least 18 years old, and below 65 at the time of application submission
The Vanuatu program is not open for nationals from Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea or Yemen, unless they have permanent residence outside those countries and have lived outside of those countries for more than 5 years.
Process
When you have made the decision to invest in the Vanuatu Citizenship by investment Program, we confirm all documents required, arrange for an initial due diligence and preliminary verification and proceed to lodge the applications and payments on your behalf.
The process outlined below takes around 6-8 weeks to complete the full process. George Andrews Consulting will guide and assist you through each of these steps.
The below outlines the process involved:-
Step one: Initial documents, and due diligence fee are required. We will submit the application for approval by the Vanuatu Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
Step two: Once approved in principle, the remaining documents will be submitted to the Citizenship office along with 25% of the Government contribution.
Step three: On confirmation of Approval, the remaining 75% of the Government contribution is then payable within 5 days
Step four: Citizenship Certificate is then issued and applicants are then required to take an Oath of Allegiance.
Step Five: Once Oath of Allegiance is completed a passport will then be applied for and issued.
Vanuatu Permanent Residency
Permanent Residency is possible in Vanuatu upon buying a property for USD 100,000 or proving a monthly income of USD 2500. Citizenship after 10 year of living in Vanuatu under this option. The cost for PR card is additional $10,000 for individuals and $15,000 for family.
